Brown Exits in True Carly Fashion!
After much speculation and and negotiations, the reign of Sarah Brown as Carly on General Hospital is drawing to a close. Brown’s real-life last days as a member of the series’ ensemble were just as heated as her character’s on-screen melodramas. Several sources say the three-time Emmy winner stormed off the set after a confrontation with a high-placed executive. They said she wouldn’t be back, but things have obviously cooled off because although her contract was up on March 9, she agreed to tape four more weeks to finish up her story.
“I’m not leaving because of money issues or contract issues,” Brown wrote on her official website. “I am leaving because my heart is telling me that I’m done. I want other things right now.” She ended by telling her fans that “she loved them.”
Will Carly be recast? Names are being thrown around like Sonia Satra (ex-Barbara, OLTL; ex-Lucy, GL) and Gina Tognoni (Kelly, OLTL).
