You brought it on yourself

Claudia: Two for one — maybe this is my lucky night.

Sonny: Uh, don’t bet on it.

Sonny: Well, aren’t you the one who just testified in court on anthony’s behalf, which means he’s free because of you?

Claudia: It was ric’s idea to get my father out. He’s the one that put together all the testimony and all the witnesses. Trust me, your brother gets all the credit for this one.

Luke: You got to love it when this woman says “trust me.”

Claudia: Look, you weren’t there. It was clear from opening arguments that my father was going to be released.

Luke: So, naturally, you flipped to the winning side.

Claudia: Now that my father is relatively a sane man, his greatest weakness is once again his ego. He likes to bully people in his life, especially the women in his life. So he thinks I lied on the stand because I’m afraid of him.

Luke: Aren’t you?

Claudia: I’m not afraid of anything. My father’s an evil bastard, but I stopped being afraid of him a long time ago.

Sonny: So now you father believes he’s in charge, that way, he won’t see it coming when you decide to kill him because that’s kind of like your pattern.

Claudia: What’s that supposed to mean?

Sonny: Well, you let the target think that they’re safe, just like when we negotiated the truce, right? And then when they let their guard down, you kill them.

Sonny: It’s pretty obvious. You and your brother have plenty of reasons to hate me. Some of them are valid, I’d have to admit.

Claudia: You mean like you locking johnny in a padded cell and having him beaten.

Luke: So you figured a little judicious murder would soothe the emotional wounds.

Claudia: I was standing in the middle of the metro court hotel talking to carly when her kid was shot.

Sonny: I never said you pulled the trigger. You wouldn’t get your hands dirty. You’d get somebody else to do it for you. And maybe they missed and shot my son!

Claudia: I’m not your only enemy, sonny. My father has been sane for months, certainly long enough to plan a hit, maybe with the help of his new best friend, ric.

Sonny: Ok, you got proof?

Claudia: No, not yet, but the list just keeps getting longer. I mean, there’s ric’s father, trevor.

Sonny: Mm-hmm.

Claudia: Any thug who wants to move drugs through port charles knows you’re in the way. Or the friends and the families of anyone you’ve eliminated. I’m sorry. I’m sorry for what happened to your kid in that warehouse, but don’t lay it on me. You brought it on yourself.

Jerry: So ian’s dead, Jason killed him, and he was even there when the police showed up.

Claudia: Well, finally a hit man who can actually hit someone. Can I buy you a martini? I feel like celebrating.

Jerry: And I suggest that you keep a clear head. Now, assure me that there’s no link between you, me, and Ian Devlin.

Claudia: Ian was the link. He’s dead.

Jerry: Spite and bitterness are Ian’s better qualities. It’s not a stretch to imagine that before he died, he found a way to give us up to Jason.
