How long do you honestly think that we’re gonna last?
[Gunshots]
Jason: Any idea who’s trying to kill you?
Claudia: My father, and he won’t stop until I’m dead.
Claudia: Well, I guess I should feel special. Daddy spent years ignoring me, and I have full attention.
[Gunshots]
Jason: Do you have a gun?
Claudia: Yeah, it’s in the car. How careless of me not to accessorize before leaving the scene of my near death.
Jason: Yeah, or convenient.
Claudia: What is that supposed to mean?
Jason: You called me up here. Now we’re getting shot at.
Claudia: What, do you think I set you up, Jason? My car took a nosedive off a bluff going 90. If I wanted to kill you, why would I kill myself in the process?
Jason: So you’re telling me this is all a coincidence?
Claudia: My father has somebody following me. Obviously, the guy is here to kill me.
[Gunshot]
Claudia: I hope you’re as good as they say you are, or else this guy’s gonna get two for one.
Claudia: Since you’re the one with the gun, you want to try firing it instead of sitting there playing with bullets?
Jason: The last two shots came from different angles. The sniper’s moving.
Claudia: I should have shoved that pillow down my father’s throat when I had the chance. He doesn’t deserve the satisfaction of killing me!
Jason: Try being quiet. Shut up!
[Gunshots]
Claudia: Here’s a thought. Why don’t you try aiming instead of wasting bullets?
Jason: It was a warning shot to stop the guy from getting a better position.
Claudia: For how long? One, two, three minutes maybe?
Jason: That’s more time than we had before.
Claudia: Fine, what are we gonna do after that? We can’t hold them off for long with one gun.
Jason: Why don’t you make a run for it? If he shoots you, maybe he’ll quit while he’s ahead.
[Gunshots]
Claudia: My father’s been out of prison twenty-four hours, and he’s already trying to kill me.
Jason: Why you? Your brother’s the one who took over.
Claudia: He thinks I’m a bad influence on John, trying to steer his precious son against him, which is so silly, because my brother wants him dead more than I do.
Jason: Why don’t you take Anthony out once and for all?
Claudia: He’s my father, for God’s sake. That’s where you’re supposed to come in.
Jason: I told you, I’m not killing anyone for you.
Claudia: Really? Even if he’s the one who’s responsible for the guy who shot Michael in the head?
[Gunshot]
[Gunshots]
Claudia: He’s not returning fire. That cannot be a good sign. He must be closer than we think.
Jason: Stop. I need you to get ready to run
Claudia: What, and get picked off the minute I’m out in the open? No, thank you.
Jason: He can’t shoot what he can’t see. On my signal, I want you to head for that tree line.
Claudia: You want to give the guy some target practice, go for it, be my guest. I’m not –
Jason: I need you to draw his fire.
Claudia: So you can run the other way?
Jason: I could’ve done that a long time ago. Either you want to trust me or you don’t want to trust me.
Claudia: Okay.
Jason: Go.
[Gunshots]
[Glass shatters]
Claudia: It’s dead.
Jason: Stay down. Keep away from the windows.
Claudia: Listen, my dad only hires the best. This guy is not gonna stop until we’re dead.
Jason: If you stay down, you’re gonna be dead.
Claudia: We have a few bullets left. We have no way of calling for help. How long do you honestly think that we’re gonna last?
Jason: Did you find anything?
Claudia: Nothing that’ll do us much good.
Jason: Keep looking.
Claudia: I wouldn’t mind finding a bottle of scotch, whiskey, vodka, anything to take the edge off. So, I know you’re good at what you do. Why do you do it, man? What is it, the money, the rush? You ever feel guilty after?
Jason: Why don’t you try to find a better weapon than that butter knife?
Claudia: Hey, how long do you honestly think we’re gonna last here? What do you got, five bullets? Why did you even go after me when my car went over the embankment? Wouldn’t it have been better to just let me die?
Jason: Probably, yeah.
Claudia: So, why did you risk your life to save mine?
