Outstanding Lead Actor/Actress: The Young and the Restless‘ Peter Bergman (Jack) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis). Each submitted episodes where their characters dealt with the fallout from Sharon’s torrid sex spree, and each faces seismic Emmy opponents. He’s up against As the World Turns‘ Michael Park (Jack), while she has big competition from ATWT‘s Maura West (Carly) and GH‘s Sarah Joy Brown (Claudia). Yep, I’m leaving out Crystal Chappell, though she arguably gave the performance of the year as Guiding Light‘s Olivia. Her chosen material — Olivia’s declaration of love to Natalia — oddly seemed pale compared to the work of the others and executive producer Ellen Wheeler’s cheap, ghastly production values didn’t help. But let’s get back to Bergman and Stafford. Prior to re-viewing their reels, I wouldn’t have thought either had much chance to win, since both their characters were trashed by the current producing/writing regime. But, when it comes to nabbing an Emmy, it only takes one hotter-than-hell episode. And this duo delivered! There is a heft and a magnificence to their performances that leaves you breathless.

Help “B&B” build a community home for Habitat for Humanity. On Sunday, May 23, Sarah Joy Brown (Aggie), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy), Kimberly Matula (Hope), Alley Mills (Pam), Hunter Tylo (Taylor) and members of the staff and crew of “The Bold and the Beautiful” will join The San Fernando Valley/Santa Clarita Valley Habitat for Humanity on a women’s empowerment build in Pacoima, Calif.

“We Build” is a three-day build meant to empower women to make a difference. Successful women in entertainment, science and technology, and other fields will work together on six homes in the city of Pacoima. These women will be working with community youth to encourage them to empower themselves and make a difference. Each day includes tours of the site, building homes, planting a garden to encourage self-sustainability, and keynote speakers. The San Fernando/Santa Clarita Valley Habitat for Humanity is unique in that they build communities, not individual homes. Therefore, participants are helping to better the lives of many in ways beyond simply providing an address. Yea. Everyone should know by now. Anyway, it’s a good thing.

And now the Angels can sing.

She’s going to The Bold and the Beautiful. Not a great show, but it’s work. According to her Twitter, there’s a movie coming up as well, which is better.

Either way, she’ll be great.

I’ve added some scans to the gallery, and I promise when she’s on B&B I’ll update more. I do have all of her V.R. Troopers stuff saved, I just haven’t updated with them yet.

Oh, and how cool. Sarah’s show moves got a mention in the LA Times:

So, it’s been way too long, but ever since I moved to LA, things have been really complicated. Luckily, I’ve found a great new apartment (so I can gth away from my brother finally) and I think things can settle down soon.

Anyway, Sarah’s having her 2nd Annual GH Fan Club Weekend event this July 19, 2009 from 8:00-10:00pm at the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn (beverlygarland.com) in North Hollywood, CA.

The tickets are limited, so make sure to go to her site sarahbrown.net and sign up.

I’ve sent my request in, hopefully I can go. If so, I’ll take plenty of pics (I’ll try to stay anonymous, lol), and give everyone as many updates as I can about Sarah and what she said. I was stuck in NY last year, but now I’m here.
